Be bold.  Be true.  Be you.

MIND POWER

Getting into the zone of peak performance

There are certain components to understand and utilize in order to perform at your peak.  The greatest, most successful athletes understand and/or integrate these basic concepts in their daily life.

1. Thoughts are energy.  When scattered, thoughts are weak, but when laser-focused, can cut through steel.  That's why the imagination is one of the most powerful forces on earth.  What's the #1 thing that keeps people from achieving their goals?  Fear and doubt.  Fear and doubt are fueled by the imagination; but so are courage and confidence.  You choose.

2.  What you sow is what you reap. Sow great thoughts and you will reap great actions.  Sow negative thoughts and negativity is sure to follow.  If your thoughts are constantly on excellence, excellence will be attracted to you.

3. Your mind will only run what you program it. Your mind is like a computer.  The computer can run most any program; the incredible ones and the poor ones.  With the right programs, a computer has infinite possibilities.  With the wrong programs, or bad software, the computer will constantly have problems.  It can only run what you put in it.  If your mind is constantly barraged with negativity and distractions, how can it ever be laser-focused on your goals?  The great thing is, if you only put incredible thoughts, ideas, and programs in your mind, it has no choice but to move towards those things.

4. The subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between what is vividly imagined and what is real.  What is the number one thing coaches say when asked what's needed most to perform well in pressure situations?  "Experience in those situations.  You can't replace experience."  Well, you can, to a large extent.  I'll show you how.  Read the book Dugout Wisdom to find out more.

5. The world of the unseen controls the world of the seen.  There is a mental and spiritual world that controls the physical world.  Every man-made object, every success, every failure began as a thought.

6. You are not your mind.  Your mind is a part of you that you must control.  Your conscious mind is like a spoiled child, thinking whatever it wants, feeling it has control.  When you take control of your mind, and begin to control it, your life will change.
